Green fizz

Today rm 13a green fizzy drink. I put too much baking soda in so it was yuk. Dylans on the other hand... was so good. I did not taste it but how he drank itmade it look good.

Inter Cross country

Today is the day I have to run and run. My aim was to beat Ed and then I can say I won cross country. But one thing, I dnf so that kind of failed on me. DNF MEANS DID NOT FINISH. I had an injury on my leg because Marius, in my soccer team, stood on my leg with sprigs. So he's a dawk.

WOW Trashion show with Room 3 !!!!!!

Hi my name is Toby and i'm going to tell you about my costume. I am making a space rocket with Room 3. It has a alien on the top (shouting out help!!!!!!)
The person wearing our rocket is Quin. The people in our group are Quin and Cayden from Room 3 and Jerry and me from Room 13.

• fractions; I need to learn more about fractions.
• decimalise; This is part of maths and learning my fractions will help this too.
• writing; I need to make my writing better quality.
• handwriting; I need to improve on my size and letter formation.
• division; This is also part of maths so I need to learn how to divide into equal parts and amounts.

Australia New Zealand Army Corps

Today some of the school councillors from vardon school layed a wreath. The Anzac's people fired a cannon into the river that made a huge bang. About 20 people fainted from heat and from being scared after the cannon went off. There was marching-bands, bag-pipes, soldiers, police and first aid people. My great great grandfather was in world war 1 & the boer war. He got 4 medals. I have 3 of his medals. his name is george arthur partridge. He went to paschendale hospital were he fell out of a 2 story building in the middle of the night.

Today me and shakia showed each other our blogs. It's cool having room 3 in our class !!!!

Yay we are at karakariki camp!!!!!!!! Hi karakariki camp is the best place you have ever ever been to, They   

have caving , absaling , archery ,  kyayking , sluge-gun , bmx , tree climbing , swimming , p.e games , walks , 

bo-ma trail & camping in tents. They have yummy food to eat at camp. Toby.

Senior trip.

This week the whole entire Senior syndicate went to the pools for a whole day. I did a flip of the second diving Board, its freaky but fun.At the beginning I was nervous.

Athletics

Last week the senior & middle syndicate did athletics. I almost made it into the inter-schools for 200meter sprints. Today the middle & senior syndicate went on a bus to the inter-schools.

Swim safe

This week on 2012 all week room 13 is going to be taught how to be safe in water. We walked down 3 streets to get to water world. When we get there we get changed into our togs. Then we walk down to were our teachers.Then we hopped out get changed and walk back to school and have lunch.

This term the seniors are doing our topic on paddock to palate. We are looking up what things are made with diary. We are also making butter and ice-cream today they both have diary. We also have fire Nikki.

room13 assembly

This week we are having an assembly.  I don't like standing on the stage with everyone watching me.  We are having it this Friday,I'm nervous.  Last week we had school production and this week room13 assembly.  I don't like performing but I know that the more I do the better I'll get.

boggarts

In English folklore, a boggart is a household spirit which causes mischief and things to disappear like milk and dogs to go lame. Always, the boggart will follow its family wherever they flee. In Northern England, at least, there was the belief that the boggart should never be named, for when the boggart was given a name, it would not be reasoned with nor persuaded, but would become uncontrollable and destructive.

It is said that the boggart crawls into people's beds at night and puts a clammy hand on their faces. Sometimes he strips the bedsheets off them. Hanging a horseshoe on the door of a house and leaving a pile of salt outside your bedroom are said to keep a boggart away.

In the folklore of North-West England, boggarts live under bridges on dangerous sharp bends on roads as well as in chimneys. The Scottish variant is the bogle.
